A series of short films about Friar Street Worcester, documenting memories from the 1940s onwards and featuring Worcester residents.

At the beginning of 2026 we held Saturday morning ‘memory clinics’ for Worcester residents to attend, socialise and tell their stories about living or working in Friar Street, from the last few decades. We collected stories from the 1940s onwards from the local community who have lived, worked, shopped, played or walked through Friar Street and enjoyed its historic beauty. These memories were recorded and the result is a series of films which document Friar Street’s changing face from the mid 20th century to early 21st century. The films will be shown in the Tudor Room and the cafe at Tudor House on 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th September from 10am-4pm (last entry to the museum at 3.30pm).
