If you love museums, like talking to people, want to make a difference and be part of a rich heritage, come and join our friendly, welcoming and award-winning group of volunteers!
Volunteers have been vital to the existence of Tudor House since it opened in 2004 and in 2017, they were recognised for their efforts at the West Midlands Museum Development Volunteer Awards, where the team won the Above and Beyond Team category and the overall Judges Award for Excellence! In 2018, the Gate Team won the Warmest Welcome Award for their excellent work in helping visitors discover the museum.
Join the team and you could be making the most of your skills as well as learning new ones. You can help in a variety of ways, including
stewarding, welcoming visitors, running the coffee shop, research and display, event organisation, collection care, maintenance and more. We don’t insist you know everything about the Tudors, or Worcester, but an interest in the history of the house is important.
Volunteers are given an initial induction to support their training. They can buy tickets for our talks and events at reduced prices and there are regular social events and training updates. If you
like meeting new people and working as part of a friendly team, this is the place for you!
