Medical knowledge during the Tudor period was quite limited and led to some strange reasons for illnesses, as well as equally strange “cures”! This summer, take part in our gruesome medical facts trail, solve the bizarre remedies puzzle and make yourself a finger puppet to take home, all in our activity packs.

The Cherry Orchard Primary School Tudor exhibition will be running through the summer. The pupils have spent the year researching Tudor illnesses, crime and punishment, and will be exhibiting their art, poetry and work at the museum.

Entry to the museum and exhibition is free; activity packs are £1 each. The museum is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the year, from 10am – 4pm.
