Eager about embroidery? Mad for machine stitching? Crazy for textile crafts? Why not join our informal embroiderers group once a month, here at Tudor House?

No booking or past experience is necessary. Workshops start at 10.30am: simply turn up with whatever it is you’re working on or about to start and meet the group. Each meeting lasts 1-2 hours and there is no charge for being there. Participants must bring their own materials.

Last year, the group created the beautiful pelmet you can see adorning the four-poster bed in the Tudor Chamber – a project that is about to expand into creating bed curtains and spread to match! Contact the office for more details of the Bedfellows Project.

In 2019, they’ll be exhibiting their joint work here as part of our Year of the Curious Museum.

You can join in either of the above project, or bring your own work to stitch in friendly company, get advice and chat over coffee.
