Hidden Histories of Tudor House
Saturday, January 29, 2022 @ 10:00 am - Wednesday, March 16, 2022 @ 12:00 pm
£6.50You might think you know all the secrets of our lovely building already, but we’ve a few tricks up our sleeve still. Come and hear about the lives of those who lived in Tudor House, whose stories we don’t tell in our displays! Go deeper into our history and learn about everything from the resident who entertained Queen Elizabeth I to the families who lived and worked here in the nineteenth century.
We are running a special ‘Talk and Tour’ telling these stories in early 2022 at £6.50 per person. Each tour lasts approximately an hour, and the price includes tea and cake in our lovely coffee shop at the end! Pre-booking is essential and places are limited. Book via Eventbrite, and pay on the day.
The tour will explore the first floor of our lovely timber-framed building. Sadly, we do not have lift access to this area of the museum. For this reason, we are offering a seated version of the talk on Wednesday 16 March in our ground floor coffee shop (wheelchair accessible). This is part of our commitment to being an accessible and inclusive museum.
The tour dates are:
- Saturday 29 January 2pm
- Saturday 5 February 2pm
- Wednesday 16 March *accessible tour*
- …and if you can’t make these dates, keep an eye out for Hidden Histories’ return later in the year!
