Summer Storytelling: The Bone Hunter

the story of Mary’s life and discoveries as well as others of Dragons, sea monsters, scaly beasts and some fossil folklore too.
“She sells seashells on the seashore, The shells she sells are seashells, I’m sure. So if she sells seashells on the seashore, Then I sure she sells seashore shells”
Young Mary came from a family of fossil hunters and together with her father and brother, they would seek out fossils or curios as they called them to sell to visitors. One day though young Mary and her brother, Joseph, came across some strange looking bones…
Suitable for ages 5 and above, lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour. This is a FREE event!
SHARON CARR – originally from Canada, Sharon has been a Midlands dweller for many years. She traces her love of storytelling back to her Welsh mother who delighted in telling ancient family stories of growing up in Wales before the War. Until recently, Sharon was one of the resident storytellers at Birmingham Storytelling Café and now co-hosts a bimonthly spoken word event with Pyn Stockman – “StoryVibes – storytelling, spoken word & music”.
