We’re launching an exciting new exhibition this September at Tudor House, to coincide with Heritage Open Days. This year’s HODs theme is ‘Astounding Inventions’, and we’ve got a special Tudor House twist on the theme.

We’ve been busy researching some of the former residents of the museum. As the buildings have been lived in – and worked in – since the sixteenth century, there’s quite a lot to choose from! But we’ve picked ten families who lived here between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries who plied a trade, or ran a business, out of Tudor House. So come along and find out what it would have been like to be anything from a shoemaker to a shopkeeper, a tailor to a tinsmith, and plenty more besides.

There’s lots to find out, and best of all – it’s completely free! The exhibition opens on 10 September.
