If you’ve ever wanted to learn to weave, to create your own textile works of art, why not join one of our new for 2019 weaving workshops? Let textile artist, Michelle Flint, guide you through the process of using a frame loom, including how to warp it, create fabric, the use of colour, and different weave techniques.

These workshops are perfect for beginners or those needing a refresher!

Michelle is a textile artist based in Pershore.  She studied a BSC Hons in Textile Design, specialising in woven design at the University of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.  Colour is the key essence of her weaving; she uses predominantly naturally dyed wool and lambs wool, saying that “it is very therapeutic and rewarding to see fabric develop as each row is woven.”  She has taught textiles for over 10 years and have exhibited her work across the UK and abroad.

The workshops start on Friday 28th June, running monthly until end October, and will begin at 10.30am. Each workshop lasts 2 hours: all materials are provided and the morning includes a break for tea and cake!
